What is a resource?
Simply anything you want to make bookable. It can be a person's time, a room, a piece of equipment, or a service such as carpet clean or hair cut. The key is to identify items where the booking can be for distinct length of time.

I'm a dentist, could BookIt! handle allocating different lengths of booking for different tasks I do?
Yes. For booking services, BookIt! allows a list of tasks to be associated with a resource. Each task has an estimated length it will take which will be how long a booking would be for. The customer selects the resource, say the Dentist they want to see, then selects the task from the list shown. The time booked will match what the dentist has associated with that task.

What length can a booking be for?
BookIt! is very versatile. You can define a resource or resource task as being bookable in multiples of timeslots lengths ranging from 10 minutes to a month. The customer can also be given the option to make repeat bookings.

I rent out machinery. I have some pieces of equipment that can only be rented if other pieces are available. Can you handle that?
BookIt! has the ability to make the booking of one resource dependent upon the availability of others, and hence to automatically book a group of items together. For example, if your customer need to hire a front-end loader, and that attachment is dependent on the available of a particular tractor to which it will fit, you can make the front-end loader dependent on that tractor.
